EU announces extra tariffs on Chinese Al foil

The EU has announced that it will impose additional tariffs on imports of aluminium foil from China, saying producers from China were found to have an unfair advantage created by excessive subsidies. Extra tariffs of 8.6-18.2pc will be imposed on a certain grade of aluminium foil as of today, on top of the existing anti-dumping duties of 6.0-28.5pc. The product in question is aluminium converter foil of a thickness of less than 0.021mm, not backed, not further worked than rolled, in rolls of a weight exceeding 10kg.
