Nitrogen containing heterocyclic compounds have wide range of application in pharmaceutical and biological field. Imidazole is an important heterocyclic motif used as plant growth regulator, therapeutic agent, fungicide, herbicide, etc. N- Arylated imidazoles are compounds of particular significance owing to its excellent applications. This review summarizes of N-arylation of imidazoles and covers literature from 2009.
