The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I), to a process for their preparation and to their use in electronic devices, in particular in electroluminescent devices. When used as a host material for a phosphorescent emitter in an electroluminescent device, the compound of formula (I) can provide improved efficiency, stability, manufacturability, or spectral properties of the electroluminescent device.
