NDRC Price Supervision; metal prices see top

Prices of some nonferrous metals dropped from high in Q3 and the supply of metals far exceeded the demand in the market. Experts from the Department of Price Supervision, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said that generally speaking, nonferrous metals-prices had shown the sign of touching the tops. The statistics of NDRC show that in January to September period, nonferrous metals price increased by 10.13 percent year-on-year and 4.05 percent compared with that at the start of the year. Zinc price saw a year-on-year 26.61 percent increase, copper 21.81 percent up, lead 9.77 percent up and aluminum 1.56 percent down.
