Services Firms Delve Deeper Into Energy Transition

Baker Hughes and Schlumberger, two of the largest suppliers of traditional oil-field services, are plunging deeper into the energy transition with a pair of new collaborations that separately position each company to capitalize on evolving demand patterns for energy products. Baker Hughes this week announced a strategic global partnership with industrial gas player Air Products to develop next-generation hydrogen compression to lower the cost of production and accelerate the adoption of hydrogen as a zero-carbon fuel.
