Chevron to Quantify Emissions in LNG Deal

Chevron has emerged as the second supplier to clinch an LNG supply deal with Singapore’s Pavilion Energy under which it must document the carbon footprint of each cargo, from production of the gas to discharge of the LNG at its destination. Qatar Petroleum (QP) had previously agreed to supply LNG to Pavilion under the same terms, marking the industry’s first long-term supply deal requiring precise quantification of carbon emissions during production and transport (IOD Nov.9’20).
