Workers in the nuclear energy and fossil fuel industries earn higher wages than those in renewable energy sectors like wind and solar,which are a significant focus of a $2 trillion plan to stimulate the US economy and combat climate change.An analysis by workforce research firm BW Research Partnership,the National Association of State Energy Officials and the Energy Futures Initiative think tank found that the average energy jobs pay about 34% more than the national median wage of $19.14 per hour.
