Kinder Morgan Forms Group on Energy Transition, Low-Carbon Opportunities

Kinder Morgan Inc. is taking a step to show investors that it is looking toward and planning for a future with low-carbon opportunities, as a new group within the company will examine technologies in the energy transition realm. The new Energy Transition Ventures group within Kinder Morgan was announced March 12. It will include employees with financial, commercial and engineering skills to analyze opportunities for assets and services on energy transition matters. Such pursuits could include renewable natural gas (RNG), hydrogen production, carbon capture and sequestration, renewable resources for power generation, renewable diesel production and electric transmission.
