US NOLA: UAN prices trade up $75/st

UAN-32 barge prices went up this week to $270-280/st ($8.44-8.75/unit) FOB New Orleans. This reflects an average price increase of $75/st week-on-week and $148/st since the New Year. The big jump in UAN quotes is driven by big gains in New Orleans urea costs over the last couple of weeks. Higher nitrogen prices in general are due to reports and rumors of production cuts due to the impact of the late February winter storm across much of the US.
