Canadian fows to Texas near record in June

US imports of Canadian crude surged by 13pc in June from May as fows into Texas topped 500,000 b/d for only the second time on record. The US imported 4mn b/d of Canadian crude in June, up by 473,000 b/d from May, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA). This is the highest since February 2020 and only the fourth time above the 4mn b/d mark.
