Omsk deep-conversion complex to launch soon

Gazpromneft is preparing to commission a Rbs60bn ($860mn) deep-conversion complex at its flagship 430,000 b/d Omsk refinery in west Siberia this spring. The complex, including a 2mn t/yr vacuum gasoil (VGO) hydrocracker, as well as hydrogen and sulphur units, will increase light products yield by 6 percentage points, from 71.2pc at the end of 2020, and generally boost refinery flexibility. The complex will enable increased output of diesel and jet-kerosene, and the production of feedstock for high-viscosity index lubricants.
