PNG NOC Secures Gas Field

The Papua New Guinea (PNG) government has awarded the Pandora gas field to its national oil company Kumul Petroleum. Pandora is estimated to hold 1 Tcf of gas and is the fourth asset awarded by the government to Kumul this year. The state-owned firm intends to seek joint-venture partners to mitigate the risks. Kumul was awarded the Kimu, Barikawa and Oromu fields in April with combined reserves of 2 Tcf of gas.
