Asia ethyl acetate prices near decade high on strong feedstock; crimped supply

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Asia ethyl acetate (etac) prices have risen to a fresh high not seen in almost 10 years, fuelled by escalating feedstock values in the aftermath of a severe winter storm in the US Gulf Coast. Etac prices averaged at $1,300/tonne CFR (cost and freight) southeast Asia in the week ended 26 February, climbing by 10% from the preceding week’s close.
