SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Asia butyl acetate (butac) prices have climbed to an over one-year high on the back of sturdy regional demand, with elevated feedstock markets also set to keep sentiment buoyant. Key regional producers with tight butac cargo supply have raised offers for November shipments, coinciding with increased spot enquiries amid the fourth quarter when demand typically peaks. Constrained spot availability of raw material n-butanol (NBA) in the Asia-Pacific were cited among factors in producers initiating price hike initiatives for butac parcels, for which inventories were similarly low.
