Asia ethyl acetate prices boosted by strong upstream performance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Asia ethyl acetate (etac) prices have rallied to fresh historical highs on the back of a surge in upstream markets, along with steady regional demand, set to keep sentiment firm. Spot prices on a CFR (cost & freight) southeast Asia basis stood at $1,375/tonne as of 30 April, climbing by $70/tonne week on week, taking prices to a record high.
