Benchmark crudes make further gains

1.Global crude prices firmed in the week to 2 July,as US crude stocks contracted for a sixth week in a row and with demand looking to be on the rise.Atlantic basin benchmark North Sea Dated increased by $1.43/bl to $77.20/bl,while US marker WTI gained $1.93/bl to $75.23/bl.2.TotalEnergies and Shell's buying interest in North Sea cargoes loading in mid-July drove prices higher.Benchmark crudes increased by 40-70￠/bl,with Brent and Forties rising to their highest premiums to North Sea Dated since January 2020.Oseberg hit its highest premium to the marker since March last year,while Ekofisk and Troll were at their sturdiest since July and September 2020,respectively.
