European Commission unveils EUR 1 trillion sustainable investments plan

On January 14, the European Commission unveiled its plan to mobilise at least EUR 1 trillion in sustainable investments over the next decade, according to the official statement. The European Green Deal Investment Plan (EGDIP) is the investment pillar of the Green Deal, aimed at “becoming the world's first climate-neutral bloc by 2050”. Being “a great challenge” it's “also a great opportunity”, the statement reads. The investment will be made through the EU budget and associated instruments.
