Brazil/China - JAC Motors do Brasil Automoveis Ltda of Salto, State of Sao Paulo with the support of the SHC Group of Sao Paulo, State of Sao Paulo has announced it is to deliver its first electric trucks in Brazil within the next four months, see article opposite. The first truck to be sold in Brazil is the JAC iEV 1200T truck; it has a gross weight of 7.5t and a payload capacity of 4,000kg (4t). Priced at BRA349,900.00 (USD65,000), the JAC iEV 1200T truck has a 67.2kWh electric motor and the two iron-lithium phosphate battery packs offering a range of 200km. The batteries can be fully recharged in two hours using DC or 13 hours with AC charging.
