BIZ: Sustainability/Aftermarket: Etrio launches retrofitted electric LCVs

Hyderabad - Electric vehicle start-up, Etrio Automobiles Pvt Ltd of Hyderabad has launched the country's first retrofitted electric light commercial vehicle (eLCV) to be certified by the authorities. Designed and built for intracity applications, the e-Trio eLCV, which is based on the Tata Ace model truck is powered by an 15kW electric motor, which offers peak torque of 120Nm. A lithium-ion battery of 20Kwh on a 96V system offers a certified range of 120km. It is enabled with Etrio Track, a telematics app, providing key health metrics about the vehicle and components as well as enabling key safety features including geo-fencing, remote immobilization and data driven insights through unique driver scorecards to deliver operational efficiency.
