MKT: Statistics - Rigid Trucks: Rigid truck sales contract almost 40% in Q2

India - Sales of medium and heavy rigid trucks (7.5t gvw and above) in India experienced a contraction of 37.9% in the second quarter (Q2: July to September) of FY2020-21 to register 22,788 units from 36,695 units in same quarter of the year 2019-20. Exports of rigid trucks fell by 56.4% to 1,903 units in Q2 FY2020- 21 from 4,362 units in the same quarter of the previous year. Production of rigid trucks decreased by 26.9% to 26,341 units in Q2 of FY2020-21 from 36,020 units in the Q2 of the previous year.
