BIZ: Manufacture MKT: Export: Mercedes-Benz Argentina to start production of Sprinter chassis for the USA

Argentina/USA - Mercedes-Benz Argentina S.A. of Virrey del Pino, Argentina has confirmed that it will restart Sprinter chassis production for export to the United States. The first shipment is scheduled this November and will complement the supply made by the Ludwigsfelde plant in Germany. Produced at the Juan Manuel Fangio Industrial Centre in Virrey del Pino, La Matanza, the vehicles, all of the third generation, will be exported in chassis cab form to permit customers to body them and/or fit equipment in accordance with local requirements. The Virrey del Pino and Ludwigsfelde plants are the only Mercedes-Benz plants in the world that produce Sprinter in the chassis version.
