Scania installs largest solar roof in the Netherlands

Sweden/The Netherlands - Scania AB of Sodertalje, part of Volkswagen Truck & Bus GmbH, is to install solar panelling, equivalent to the size of eight football pitches, on its Scania Nederland truck production facility at Zwolle, Overijssel, The Netherlands. A total of 22,000 solar panels producing six megawatts of electricity is to form a major contribution to the company's aim of making the facility carbon neutral by 2020. When complete it will be the largest solar panelled roof in The Netherlands.
