Setting out a clear pathway to greener and healthier travel

Concerted efforts from professionals, policy makers and public alike will be critical to combat transportation's major contribution to climate change and polluted air. Public opinion is starting to favour more sustainable travel, but the scale of the challenge to reduce emissions and improve air quality has yet to resonate fully, a recent discussion heard. Clinical research fellow and county councillor Dr Suzanne Bartington told a TP roundtable that public attitudes are shaping more of a green focus in party manifestos ahead of local elections in May.
