摘要

In any industry there's going to be a learning curve before you're ready to do your job independently. Once you have the knowledge to do your job, you may be asked to show others how it's done, and that is another learning curve entirely. My first job right out of college was as a barista. It was not the job I envisioned, but it was the one I could find in the middle of the Great Recession. So, I woke up early, and I learned a new language—the unlimited combination of scribbles in boxes on hundreds of cups every day. I served the best people (and the worst), and I made lifelong friends. After a year or so, my manager invited me to become a trainer.
