Dow Agricultural Sciences reports 4Q 2016 and full-year 2016 results

Dow Agricultural Sciences reported 4Q 2016 sales of $1.7 billion, up from $1.6 billion, an increase of 7% versus 4Q 2015. Volume rose 5% and price increased 2%. Volume gains were achieved in both Crop Protection and Seeds. Crop Protection volume growth was driven by double-digit gains in Latin America herbicides and EMEAI insecticides. Seeds demand rose primarily driven by double-digit corn seed gains in Latin America and North America, partially offset by lower sunflower seed demand in Latin America.
