Papua LNG agrees fscal deal with PNG government

The partners in the planned 5.33mn t/yr Papua LNG project in Papua New Guinea (PNG) have signed a fscal stability agreement with the PNG government that covers the payments they will make to Port Moresby once operations begin. The three partners in the two-train Papua LNG - Total, ExxonMobil and Australian independent Oil Search - have signed the agreement with the PNG government, Oil Search says. The agreement is the final step envisioned under the Papua LNG gas agreement signed in April 2019. The fscal agreement also fol- lows legislation passed in the PNG parliament on 11 November.
