This Exchange of Notes, which entered into force on 16 December 1991, refers to the safeguards obligations of both Contracting Parties under their Agreement on the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy and the Exchange of Notes of 2 August 1985 concerning the duration of safeguards. Both Parties agree that the Agreement will apply to the quantity of materials to which either Party, at the request of the other Party, has consented that it should apply as part of the arrangement to exchange safeguards obligations, or that it should no longer apply.
