New bitumen terminals under construction

Russian demand for bitumen is gradually recovering and a number of companies have recently built or are planning new terminals to handle the product. TA Group — formerly TA Bitum — commissioned its Urals Bitumen terminal in the Sverdlovsk region last year. Deliveries from Gazpromneft’s 430,000 b/d Omsk refnery to Sysert station, which serves the terminal, started in February and sup- plies from Rosneft’s 190,000 b/d Ufaneftekhim plant began in May, according to freight forwarding companies.
