Loading costs rise

Oil terminals in the Caspian region have increased their loading fees, which may further undermine crude and products shipments in the region. Turkmen ports accounted for most regional crude and products loadings last year - handling 6mn t, unchanged from 2016. Loading tariffs at the country's terminals rose at the start of this year, with rates for products exporters at Turkmenbashi increasing to 25-50￠/t from 25-27￠/t in 2017. And vessel-entry costs rose to $5,000-14,000 from $3,000-10,500, depending of the size of the tanker.
