Rail shipments of petroleum coke for export from Russia fell by 18pc on the year to 909,800t in January-September, because of stronger domestic demand. A further drop is expected in the fourth quarter because of reduced Rus- sian output during refnery maintenance - the delayed coker at Gazpromneft’s 430,000 b/d Omsk plant was shut down for three months of maintenance in Sep- tember and Lukoil shut down the delayed coking unit at its 290,000 b/d Volgograd refnery last month, although it is now back on line, market participants say.
