US EPA plans process to allow public input on alternative test options under TSCA

The US EPA is planning to develop a form that will allow companies, NGOs and federal agencies to nominate alternative test methods for possible inclusion in its official TSCA test list. The EPA published a list of new approach methodologies (NAMs) it was using in 2018 and updated it in December 2019. The agency now plans to release a draft proposal for a process to select which NAMs to include in future versions of the list. The NAMs will be used to test new and existing chemicals under TSCA.
