Canada outlines differences between US, Canadian GHS proposals

The Canadian government has released a comparison document that identifies the "key variances" between US and Canadian proposals to update their respective hazard communication requirements. Both the US and Canada have announced plans to align their requirements with the seventh revised edition of the UN's Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of classification and labelling of chemicals. The two countries have also worked to coordinate timing for stakeholders to comment on the proposals, with both nations agreeing to extend the consultation process to 19 May.
