It's hardly surprising that energy efficiency is not a core priority for the senior technicians and pharmaceutical professionals involved in determining the design parameters for new cleanrooms. Their key concerns may not always be with the environmental footprint or operational cost of the facility but with its functionality and performance as a validated cleanroom within the required ISO class. And rightly so! Cleanrooms are the environments within a pharmaceutical production plant, hospital or manufacturing environment where avoiding contamination of the materials in process is mission critical.
