The UK construction industry's record on occupational health and safety continues to generate some less than ideal statistics. Despite strong efforts to reduce health risks, injuries remain high. According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), 66,000 construction workers in the UK sustained injuries while at work in 2018-19, with 43 of those fatal.
