Bring on spring

Oh, how easy it is to be downcast at this time of year...unless you happen to be a gardener. Gardeners are innate optimists - always planting for their future pleasure, safe in the knowledge that this year will be better than the last. That's the plan anyway and, in February, when everything seems quiet, withonly the snowdrops and hellebores beginning to wake up, we have a chance to steal a march on nature and get ahead. Spring really is just around the corner, and with a few nifty tricks and a bit of forward planning our optimism need not be misplaced.
