In this study, porous layer solid-phase microextraction (SPME) wasinvestigated for the extraction of polycyclic aromatichydrocarbons(PAHs) from waster. The porous layer coatings wereprepared using silica particles(5Μm diameter) bonded with phenyl,C_8, and monomeric and polymeric C_18 stationary phases for use inHPLC. It was found that several factors affected the selectivity forextraction of PAHs, including functional group in the bonded phase,alkyl chain length of the bonded phase, and phase type (monomeric).
