US product demand down in September: API

New York-US demand for gasoline and diesel led a decline in overall petroleum product demand in September, the American Petroleum Institute said in its monthly statistical report. US products supplied, a proxy for demand, fell 3.5% year on year to average 18.6 million b/d in September. Gasoline demand fell 3% year on year to average nearly 8.7 million b/d, and distillate deliveries decreased by 2.6 % to approximately 3.6 million b/d.
