BlueCrest to start Cook Inlet drilling later this year

Anchorage—Independent producer BlueCrest Energy plans to begin development drilling later this year at its offshore Cosmopolitan oil and gas discovery in Alaska’s Cook Inlet, a company official said Thursday. BlueCrest, based in Fort Worth, Texas, will begin a multi-year program of drilling extendedreach horizontal production wells to tap a known oil deposit from onshore well pads, company president Benjamin Johnson said in an interview.
