Santos cuts 2013 output forecast to 51 million boe

Sydney—Australian exploration and production company Santos has cut its forecast oil and gas output for 2013 to 51 million barrels of oil equivalent. Santos had previously said its output for this year would be at the low end of its original guidance range of 52 million to 55 million boe, due to the deferral of oil and gas production from Chim Sao in Vietnam following the shutdown of the gas export pipeline in late August, and the deferral of oil production from Fletcher Finucane off Western Australia as a result of issues with water separation systems on the floating production, storage and offloading vessel.
