China Runs Cool Alongside GDP

Chinese refineries processed 36.095million tons, or about 8.819 million b/d,of crude oil in September, according tofigures released this week by the NationalBureau of Statistics (NBS).The total is up 1.5% on September2010, and up 1.4% from August (IODSep.12’11). But the year-on-year growthrate is the second-lowest of 2011, and re-flects China’s slowing economy and an ex-pected soft economic landing as the gov-ernment reins in growth.
