Saipem Inks $400M of Rig Deals

Italy’s Saipem has won new offshore and onshore contracts valued at $400 million and covering Latin America, North and West Africa, and Kazakhstan, the company announced on Monday. In the offshore, Chevron has chartered Saipem’s Perro Negro 6 jackup rig for three years starting next April, for work in Angolan waters. In addition, Eni extended its contract for the Perro Negro 8 jackup for another year, starting this November. Both rigs are capable of operating in 350 feet of water.
