DOE offers $20mn under new CCUS program

The US Department of Energy (DOE) is looking to provide up to $20mn under a new regional carbon capture utilization and sequestration (CCUS) program. The department issued a funding opportunity yesterday for up to four cooperative agreements aimed at identifying and addressing regional storage and transportation challenges associated with the commercial deployment of CCUS. DOE expects to award $5mn-$7mn on each project, with partners kicking in another $1.25mn-$1.75mn. Applicants can propose sharing more of the cost.
