Haldia Petrochemicals' MD resigns

Mr. Uttam Kumar Basu, Managing Director, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. (HPL), has resigned with immediate effect. Mr. Basu, whose term was to end on December 31 this year, gave his resignation to the HPL board, which accepted it. The board meeting was chaired by West Bengal Commerce and Industries Minister, Mr. Amit Mitra, who is also the Chairman of HPL.
