Tampa Electric saw coal burn fall to 159,839 st in July, down12.8% from 183,229 st in June and also 40.6% lower than the 269,101 stburned in the year-ago month, according to regulatory filing publishedlate Monday.The utility’s monthly burn at its Big Bend coal-fired power plant inApollo Beach, Florida, and Polk power plant in Bradley, Florida, was down27.2% from 219,420 st estimated to be burned in July and the third lowestmonthly coal burn this year behind February and March, according to thefiling published by the Florida Public Service Commission.
