Final day of August front-month hears deal for IB export, domestic markets quiet

Houston—An Illinois Basin export deal was heard in the US over-thecounter thermal coal market July 24, while the domestic market ended the week on a quiet note. The deal was for FOB New Orleans 6,000 kcal/kg, although the details are not known. One broke offered sub-$40/mt, but was told he was $1/mt high.
