RPM’s sales, net income rise

RPM International has announced that its net income declined from $128.1 million in fourth-quarter 2017 to $85.7 million in the latest quarter, a 33.1% fall. The fall in net income is attributed to higher raw material costs and an extended winter weather, which inhibited outdoor projects especially in the company's consumer segment. Consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were $135.0 million compared with $209.1 million a year ago, a decline of 35.4% year over year (YOY).
