RPM sales and net income rise steeply in fiscal 2008 third quarter and fiscal nine months

Speciality coatings manufacturer RPM International reported record fiscal third-quarter income and sales. Net income for the 2008 third quarter increased nearly 21% to 12 million, compared to 10 million a year ago. Sales were ahead by 7.7% to 731.8 million from 679.5 million in the third quarter of 2007, with organic sales growth accounting for 7.1% of the increase and 3.2% representing net foreign exchange gains.
