Perstorp has held a ground-breaking ceremony for a pentaerythritol (Penta) manufacturing facility in India. The plant at Bharuch, Gujarat state, will be designed to produce 40,000 metric tons/year, including the company’s renewable grades of Voxtar, providing up to a 60% reduced carbon footprint, Perstorp says. Completion is planned in 2022. In February 2016, Perstorp signed a memorandum of understanding with Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, to evaluate an investment in a new world scale production plant for Penta in the country.
