FRENCH GUNPOWDER

摘要

The charcoal used by the French in making gunpowder is obtained from black alder.The materials are pulverized separately in rolling barrels by means of bronze balls,and passed through a sieve to separate any foreign matters which may have accidentally fallen in and might cause explosion.
