INNING an ATV might be considered a dream come true for some fruit and nut growers. As it turns out, this dream became a reality for three different growers at a series of giveaways that took place at industry meetings last month. Presented by American/Western Fruit Grower and sponsored by Wilbur-Ellis Co., the John Deere Gator Giveaways have become an annual tradition. The contest was open to all fruit growers who signed up at the trade shows during the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable & Farm Market Expo in Grand Rapids, MI, the Washington State Horticultural Association Annual Meeting in Yakima, and the Almond Industry Conference in Modesto, CA. The winning tickets were pulled at each meeting, and the lucky winners were notified immediately.
